Have u read the book "to kill a mockingbird"?

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do". Atticus Finch says this to scout as a life lesson in trying to teach that through perseverance, even when you know the odds are against you, one can sometimes make a difference and change things. Show how this statement applies in to kill a Mockingbird.

What is the argument. I'm writing an essay and I want to know what's the argument

Respuesta :

In to Kill a Mockingbird they face many battles that revolve around courage and standing up for what you believe in no matter the chances that you have. Atticus saying this to Scout helps to foreshadow on events that will occur and teaches Scout and the readers a valuable lesson about not fighting back with weapons, but fighting back with courage. I'm not sure exactly the answer that you want so if you comment again I'll help.
