You just have to get x by itself. So if a digit is being multiplied by x, you will do the opposite of multiplication to get x by itself, which is division. For example, if you were solving 9x=18 then you would divide nine on both sides and x would equal 2. Another example would be
X/2=4. Since the two is being multiplied by the x, you would multiply on both sides. Therefore, x=8.
