All used glyph writing systems; mesopotamia: cunieform, nile: hieroglyphics, yellow: chinese, indus: harrapan script. Differences... there are many differences, geography of course... but the largest one is that the Indus's writing, harrapan script has never been deciphered so historians know the least about it.
