A simple way to find slope of a line when given two points is to employ the use of a formula that essentially calculates it for you. This formula is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) with y representing the y coordinates and x representing the x coordinates. For example you could write this as (5-5)/(-2-(-8)) which of course gives you an answer of 0 (undefined) because anything divided by 0 is automatically 0 (undefined) and as we see in our formula we are subtracting 5 from 5.
