Do you guys believe that taking down monuments that represent slave owners and confederates accomplishes anything positive?

If so, what does it accomplish?

I think it does

Explanation:

There are so many victims around the world or ancestors of slaves that have to walk around with the memory that more than one of their past relatives has been possibly beaten, tortured, killed, r*ped, etc. I think it is the least we could do to bring them a bit of closure.
