Kennedy's Peace Corps program was created in order to help developing country's by providing different types of assistance. This volunteer program allowed individuals in different fields, like the medical field, to travel and work in a location where they were desperately needed. Along with this, the Peace Corps was focused on the exchange of culture. The United States government wanted to learn more about the cultures of other nations while also allowing for the chance for American volunteers to share American values with individuals from all over the world.
