There are 40 girls and 32 boys who want to participate in the relay race. If each team must have the same number of girls and boys, what is the greatest number of teams that can race? How many boys and girls will be on each team?

8 is the largest number that goes into both 32 and 40.

40/8 = 5
32/8 = 4

so there can be 8 teams, each consisting of 5 girls and 4 boys
