Because they are not of age to really speak for themselves. They cannot vote for people who they trust to protect them and not all of these children will know what rights they should have even as children. As an adult they have more experience and say to keep these kids from losing their rights as they have no platform to speak upon.
When children's rights are protected, they stand a much better chance of growing up in a society that allows them to thrive. We help them to build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
