No, remote learning is not as effective. Many students show signs of struggle and less motivation when learning remote. Many students have even admitted to cheating their way through school when learning remote. Face to face can ensure a more steady education and daily schedule. Yet again, it can depend on the student.
I think it depends on the person you are. Personally, I excel at remote learning because I have a good work ethic, I have OCD (good planning ahead skills), and I can work ahead. Since for my school there is a lot less structure to the remote learning, it allows me to work at my own pace. Though, for other people who need face to face interaction or that structure, it is more beneficial for them to do in person learning, as they have the teacher right next to them and are told exactly what to do. It all depends on your strengths and I think, depending on who you are, you could excel at either one!

Hope this helps!
