British Policies changed after the French and Indian War, because they were starting to make colonists pay tax to help cover and pay the cost of the war.
They also passes other acts apart from taxes like the quartering acts, and navigational acts.
These policies lead to the revolution because the colonists were mad that they were getting controlled so much by Britain and that they were getting taxed without representation.
