A dual agent is a person who represents both the seller and the buyer. In a dual agency, a buyer may hire an agent to represent him/her while the seller also hires an agent to represent his/her interest.
Most of the time, both the seller and buyer have the same agent to negotiate a contract or transaction. In a dual agency, the agent is normally expected to represent both parties in a fair manner.
