Carefully examine the map above. According to this map, which two European nations controlled most of the continent?

If you look at the map it is obviously going to be an answer with the United Kingdom in it so it cannot be D. Next if you look at Belgium and Portugal you can immediately tell that France has more color on the map than Belgium or Portugal combined so that means it cannot be B or A so the only answer choice that makes actual sense would be C: France and the United Kingdom. Plus it is pretty obvious that that is the answer if you just look at the map.
