First, you may wonder, what is a constitution? A constitution basically can be seen as a book or document containing the guiding principles and laws of a country or region.

Slave trade:

Interesting, this is one of the issues that caused the most debate in U.S history. Gladly, the 13th Amendment of the U.S Constitution established that “neither slavery nor involuntary servitude… shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction...", thereby putting an end to this debate.

The right to vote:

This issue also caused also of debate, however, the 15th Amendment of the Constitution finally established the right to vote for all citizens irrespective of their race, color, etc.

Women rights to vote:

Interestingly, at a point in America's history, women had few or no legal rights to vote. This caused a lot of debate in the U.S at the time. However, the 19th Amendment of the U.S Constitution finally established legal tight for women in the country to vote.
