The biggest difference between Hinduism and Christianity and Islam is the attitude towards belief. Christianity and Islam are belief systems. You have to believe in certain doctrines and dogmas. A Christian has to believe that believing in Jesus Christ is the passport to heaven even if it is completely unmerited. The whole concept makes no sense but you can not be a Christian if you don’t blindly believe in it. A Muslim has to believe that Prophet Muhammad is the last prophet even if there is absolutely no reason why it should be so. That is not the case with Hinduism. A Hindu has the right to question anything and everything. This is the reason Hinduism accepts the right of a Hindu to be atheist.
