This may seem pretty simple but im in a bad mood today and cant focus. In the article, Roger Cohen writes, "Revolutions, Islamic and otherwise, seldom deliver on all of their promises, and a clear external enemy can serve as a useful diversion from internal problems." Identify at least one other revolution from your study of history that supports Cohen's claim and explain it is an example. I just need another revolution to talk about thanks-

An example that you could use for this task would be the Russian Revolution.

The Russian Revolution argued that the problems of the Russian nation were a consequence of the abuses of the rich elites, the royal family, and the ruling class. It promised people that by following the ideals of the revolution, they would be able to have a country that was richer, more prosperous and more egalitarian.

However, the revolution did not deliver everything it promised. Even after the establishment of communism, many people continued to be poor, and conflicts continue to arise. Moreover, it became obvious that the elites were not the only problem of the nation. Other problems, such as lack of industry and the need for modernization, were also significant obstacles for the achievement of the country's goals.
