Snow Leopard is found in the Central Asia particularly in the mountainous regions of Tibet and the Himalayas. During summer, Snow Leopard live very higher altitude of 6000-9000 ft. Their coat is long and thick mainly pale grey with yellowish tinge but white on the belly and mark all over with black spots. The cubs have broad, black longitudinal strips on the hind part of the body instead of spots. Snow Leopard feeds on wild sheep, goats, marmots and birds. They are comparatively peaceful and there is no record attacking man but they immediately defend themselves if they other their cubs are threatened. They appear to be less nocturnal than other cats.
