1. Amy is riding on a train. She wants to sit at the front of the train for a better view, so she gets up to change her seat. Just as she starts walking toward the front of the train, it pulls into a station and stops.
a. Describe Newton’s First Law of Motion.
b. Describe what happens to Amy when the train stops.
This is due to Inertia. The law of inertia states that an object in motion will stay in motion and an object at rest will stay at rest ( unless acted upon by an external , unbalanced force).
