The world is filled with many states and nations. Generally people or class of people belongs to a state or nation. However there are some groups which represents a nation without state.
Stateless Nation
A group of people or which may be ethnic or religious group or a community, which do not have any state or which do not form a majority in any state can be said as stateless nation.
Kurd was given autonomous status in 1970 for the very first time via an agreement with Iraqi government. The status of Kurd as a autonomous state was confirmed again in 2005 by federal Iraqi republic.
Therefore it can be said that Kurd represents a nation without a state.
