The coordinates of point E are ( - 5, - 5 ). If pentagon is reflected across the y-axis then new coordinates are:  E` ( 5 , - 5 )

In this case, y-axis act like a mirror line. The distance between the object and the mirror line should be same as the distance from the image and the mirror line.
