For the reaction CH4 + 2O2-->CO2 + 2H2O2, how many moles of carbon dioxide are produced from the combustion of 184.5 g of methane?

Respuesta :

Molar mass :

CO₂ = 44.0 g/mol

CH₄ = 16.0 g/mol
The balanced equation is wrong ,this is the correct :

CH + 3 O = CO + 2 HO

16.0 g -------------> 44 g
184.5 g -----------> mass of methane

mass of methane = 184.5 x 44 / 16.0

mass of methane = 8118 / 16.0

mass of methane = 507.375

moles of Carbon dioxide ( CO₂)

507.375 / 44.0 => 11.531 moles of CO₂

hope this helps!
