In writing rough drafts, editing the essay for grammar and checking for spelling errors is not a part because that is included in the final stage: editing. A rough draft is merely trying to write the topic sentence, main idea of the essay and the content that supports the topic sentence or main idea. Editing will be done after making the draft.
