Ego centrism is situation when a person unable to differentiate themselves and other objects around them. This make that person assume that all objects and subjects around them are thinking and feeling the same thing as him/her.

This is very common among Children whose brain haven't developed enough to understand the differentiation.

So when being asked about the Tea, the niece assume that the 'Doll' will basically like the things that she likes since she does not have the brain capability to invent a new personality for the doll.
