Turning points occur when the gradient of the function is zero.
[tex] \frac{dy}{dx} =[/tex]-2x+4
Then equating to 0;
-2x+4=0
-2x=-4
x=2

From the fucntion, when x=2 ;
y=[tex] -(2)^{2}+4(2) +6[/tex]
y=-8+8+6
y=6
