when graphing a linear function in slope intercept form , why do you have to plot the y-intercept first? why cant you use the slope first

Respuesta :

You can't use the slope first because you don't know the point that the line go through, you just know her inclination, but it's not enough to build the line.

If you know that the slope is equal to 1/2 but don't know where the line go through how you would plot it? It's impossibel

They y intercept is the starting point from which you'll graph the slope of the line
