Significant compromises in the constitutional convention in 1787:
Constitutional convention of 1787 which took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from May to September, had one of the major compromises that was the Great Compromise.
This compromise resulted in the creation of a bicameral legislature leading to two separate assemblies having legislators.
There was House of Representatives where the representatives represented their states depending upon the population of the states.
This meant larger representation of the states with more population and less representation of the states with less population.
