Respuesta :

1. Shutter speeds are typically measured in fractions of a second, when they are under a second.

Ex: 1⁄250 = 1⁄250 of four milliseconds [1 second]

2. Aperture is measured in F-stops where the light can pass through the aperture, which simply means that the smaller the aperture, the larger the f-stops. The less light the film gets is needed, so that the greater the f-stops, the lower the light the film gets.

3. It is essential to learn how to monitor the aperture and shutter speed, because the aperture of the camera can be opened in order to provide light in manual cameras, and to see how a picture will concentrate.

4. The shutter operates better with more lens exposed light and so the shutter time in light versus darkness is better. If less light is present, the shutter must open more to capture the maximum amount of light and reduce the time it takes to take a picture.

Answer:

1. How is shutter speed generally measured? What do the measurements mean?

Shutter speed is generally measured by the scientific symbol “s”. The measurement means that the measurement in “s” is the reciprocal of the number when the denominator is put on the numerator side instead.

2. How is aperture measured? What do the measurements mean?

Aperture is measured by f’s. The more f’s you have the more the hole opens to let the light in.

3. Why is learning to control aperture and shutter speed important?

Learning to control aperture and shutter speed is important, because on manual camera’s aperture controls how wide the camera lens can open to allow light in and how in focus a photo is going to be. Shutter speed controls how fast the shutter behind the lens will open and close or how fast it allows light into the camera.

4. Which camera mode do you think you are most likely to use? Why?

I think that I would use the manual mode, because it allows me to select whatever aperture, shutter speed, and white balance that I want.

5. Have you tried to take some action photographs of people, animals, or other objects? How did the photographs turn out?

6. What are some of the challenges with taking action photographs?

Yes, I tried to take some action photographs before. They photos turned out very well, not blurry or out of focus at all. Some of the challenges with taking action photographs are that the person, object, or animal might move and you have to adjust the shutter speed and aperture ring really fast, also focus the camera to get a good photograph and not blurry or out of focus picture.

7. What are some of the difficulties of taking night photographs? How can you reduce these challenges? The pictures can be really dark or they can look overexposed. To reduce these challenges is recommended to use a tripod, have a camera with a shutter speed of about three to thirty seconds, also digital cameras are better for night photographs because you can see the picture right away and you can adjust the shutter speed or the mode that you’re taking the picture with.
