Hey I would really appreciate it if you could show me how to answer two questions thanks:
1. Four cans of dog food will feed three dogs for one day.
a) how many cans are needed to feed 10 dogs for 6 days?
b) How many dogs can be fed for 9 days from 60 cans?
c) For how many days will 40 cans feed 2 dogs?

2. Three bricklayers, Maric, Hugh and Ethan, are cladding a new home. If Maric were to work alone, the job would take him 8 days to complete. If Hugh were to work alone, the job would take him 6 days to complete and if Ethan were to work alone, the job would take him 12 days to complete.

1. 80 cans are needed to feed 10 dogs for 6 days.

5 dogs can be fed for 9 days from 60 cans.

15 days will 40 cans feed 2 dogs.

Please check the attached file for a brief answer.

2. Maric's rate = job/8

   Hugh's rate = job/6

  Ethan's rate = job/12

  combined rates = job/8 + job/6 + job/12 = (9/24)job = 9job/24

   time to do 1 job = job/( 9job/24 ) = 24/9 = 8/3

   it would take 8/3 days.

How many cans of wet food should I feed my dog?

Give your dog one 3 oz can per 3 - 3½ pounds of body weight daily, divided into two or more meals. Adjust this amount as needed to help maintain your dog's ideal body condition. If mixing with dry food, remember that one 3 oz can replace about ¼ cup of dry dog food.
