The Bay of Bengal is located in Asia and borders four countries:
Bangladesh to the north, Myanmar to the east and India and Sri Lanka to the west.
Many of the main rivers of India flow from the west into this portion of the Indian Ocean.
It should be noted, that it is considered the largest bay in the world and due to its location, the waters of the Bay of Bengal has a constant maritime traffic and is of great strategic importance for the southern part of the Asian continent.
