As the revolution in Russia began to stir up, a socialist party began to form and rebel. This revolution was fostered by the lower, working class.- The czar attempted to keep peace by appointing a Prime Minister and creating a Duma which was a body to represent the Russian people
Alexander Kerensky established a provisional government which granted citizens natural rights; this failed because the working class, represented by the soviets, was desperate to end the suffering from the war
By 1918, the soviets and the socialist party came to be known as the Bolsheviks under the leader Vladimir Lenin
The Bolsheviks overthrew the government which allowed for Communism to come into place and Lenin began his plan of mass socialization
