The Huns invaded the German lands leading them to flee and seek refuge in the Roman Empire. This caused many Germans and Roman societal intermixing, often at the expense of the Romans, who were considerably weakening in power. Many German soldiers joined the Roman military due to low Roman moral, infighting, and instability. The Barbarians were player able to conquer Rome leading to the fall of the Empire.
