Where would you most likely NOT find an alpine glacier?

The Himalayas

The Rockies

The Andes

Flat areas of Antarctica

Respuesta :

The correct answer is: Flat areas of Antarctica

This is because alpine glaciers form in mountainous regions of high elevation.

Alpine glaciers start to form, high up in the mountains in cirques-hollows with the shape of bowl. As the glacier grows (ice becomes thick), the ice slowly flows out of the mountains (cirque). It ends up into a valley where the temperature is higher. Alpine glaciers may be many kilometers long and narrow.
