Alexander Hamilton apposed political parties and wanted to pay off debt when they were an established nation. Thomas Jefferson wanted to get political parties up and running. Thomas Jefferson definetly reflected more on the nation today.

The only problem was Hamilton and Jefferson did not have the same idea of the type of government they wanted to accomplish for their new nation. Hamilton wanted to accomplish a strong central government. He wanted a government that would be able to control the people’s behavior. But Jefferson completely disagreed with Hamilton’s ideas of government.
Hamilton wanted the United States to model itself on Britain. The government, he thought, should encourage manufacturing and trade. He also favored the growth of cities and the merchant class. Jefferson thought that farmers, rather than merchants, were the backbone of the new nation.
Thomas Jefferson was a strong supporter of allowing all people- the common man, the wealthy, and even slaves to be treated equally. He wrote the Declaration of Independence, fought for a U.S. Bill of Rights, and advocated for an amendment to end slavery.
Thomas Jefferson's accomplishments in and out of office have truly shaped United States and the laws that governs it. Thomas Jefferson matters today because he fought for freedom, he fought for equality, and what he did as president still affects what America is today. He made his voice heard against the tyranny that the British soldiers were placing on the colonists.
Hence, Thomas Jefferson's views are most reflected in the United States as a nation today.
