change it into improper fraction to make it easier or just solve it as is.
=[tex] 3\frac{5}{8} [/tex]-[tex] 2\frac{7}{8} [/tex]
=[tex] \frac{29}{8} [/tex]-[tex] \frac{23}{8} [/tex]
=[tex] \frac{6}{8} [/tex]=[tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex]
OR
=[tex]3 \frac{5}{8} [/tex]-[tex]2 \frac{7}{8} [/tex]
divide it to two parts:
3-2=1 and [tex] \frac{5}{8} [/tex]-[tex] \frac{7}{8} [/tex]=[tex] \frac{-2}{8} [/tex]
[tex]1\frac{-2}{8} [/tex]⇒(1×8-2=6)
=[tex] \frac{6}{8} [/tex]=[tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex]
