This makes[tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex] the smallest of that group. That just leaves [tex] \frac{1}{3}, \frac{1}{4} [/tex]. By using the exact same process, you use 3 and 4's LCM of 12 and get [tex] \frac{4}{12}, \frac{3}{12} [/tex]. That makes [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex] the smallest of the group.
