[Please help! I need this by Monday!] Mark has 2 quarters, 3 nickels and 3 pennies. Amelia has 1 quarter, 2 dimes and a penny. Jackson has 1 half-dollar coin and 4 pennies. How can the three share the coins so that each will have the same amount of money?

Respuesta :

So if you add the amount that each person has, Mark has 68 cents, Amelia has 46 cents, and Jackson has 54 cents. In total, they have $1.68. That divided by 3 is 56. So each person needs 56 cents.

Now that Mark has the most, we are taking the money away from him.

We take 2 pennies away from Mark and give it to Jackson. Jackson is finished, he has his share.

Then we take 2 nickels away from Mark and give it to Amelia.

So in the end, Mark has 2 quarters, 1 nickel, and 1 penny.

Amelia has 1 quarter, 2 dimes, 1 penny, and 2 nickels

Jackson has 1 half dollar, and 6 pennies.

If any further questions don’t hold back :)
