In the beginning, the author is only referencing to how the peaches make her happy. She is hinting that driving around the bend in the road, and seeing the sign that says "Peaches", and also actually buying the peaches take her back to a happier time, like they just make her feel at-ease. But, as the poem goes on, it turns into the all-around, big message of the poem which is to take the little things in life that bring you joy and just enjoy them to there fullest extent no-matter how little that thing may seem.
