The ratio of number of people who own a smart phone to the number of people who own flip phone is 4:3.If 500 more people own a smart phone and a flip phone how many people on each type have a phone

well, 4 is one more than 3.

multiply 500•4 and get 2000

and then 500•3 and get 1500

so, 2000 people own smart phones while 1500 own flip phones
