HIV is the beinning stage in the devolopment of AIDS. If found quickly, HIV can be treated. HIV is the virus that causes HIV infection. AIDS is the most advanced stage of HIV infection. HIV is spread through contact with the blood, s#m#n, pre-s#minal fluid, r#ctal fluids, v@gin#l fluids, or breast milk of a person with HIV. In the United States, HIV is spread mainly by having a##l or vagin#l s## or sharing drug injection equipment with a person who has HIV.

   Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is the use of HIV medicines to treat HIV infection. People on ART take a combination of HIV medicines (called an HIV regimen) every day.  ART can’t cure HIV infection, but HIV medicines help people with HIV live longer, healthier lives. HIV medicines can also reduce the risk of HIV transmission.

Sciientist - Hiv has been known for over 30 years and they recently made a break thew with the structure of hiv. They have many med to slow down the process of hiv (i think one of the names is haart). As well as people who might been recently expose withen 24-48 hrs they can take PEP to REDUCE the risk of getting hiv. They also invented many test western bolt, p24, rapid test to determine your status of hiv.  

Recently in OCTOBER of this month. Orasure has been granted the first hiv rapid test that you can take at home without having to send it in to a lab. This is great for anyone who do not want to visit a GUM or a Clinic and want to be descret you can by it OVER THE COUNTER. at Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens. So there is no excuse not be be tested. The test is not to MAKE decidson but to GIVE YOU AN IDEA of your standings. it is a home rapid test.
