using Pythagoras' identity on the right triangle

c = √( 4² + ([tex]\frac{28}{9}[/tex] )² ) = √16 + [tex]\frac{2080}{81}[/tex]

 = [tex]\frac{\sqrt{2080} }{9}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{4\sqrt{130} }{9}[/tex]
