Psychologists use the scientific approach to study human behavior, attitudes and emotions. There is this preconceived idea that "Women in general are bad drivers". As a student of psychology,how would you apply the four attitudes of scientific approach ( critical thinking, skepticism, objectivity, and curiosity) while examining this conception. Also think of another example from every day life related to human behavior where you may use these four attitudes so as to engage in more scientific thinking.

Let's go over this preconceived idea that "Women in general are bad drivers".

Critical thinking is a skill that you develop when involved in situations that will force you to make decisions by analyzing and preventing consecuences. This comes with advantages and disadvantages, which will make you more skeptical to ideas or comments without argumentative facts.

Now, objectivity and curiosity go in the same direction. They will open your mind but at the same time close it in the other direction. this preconceived idea that "Women in general are bad drivers" is the result of previous events and the application of these four attitudes plus human nature and personalities.

Feel free to apply this to any other event or situation in life, for instance, the ugly saying of "Women are made to stay at home while men go to work"
