Subtracting a negative number is the same as adding a positive number.
So we can write this as
[tex] \frac{13}{19} + \frac{1}{19} [/tex]
We don't have to do anything to the denominators, but we do have to add the numerators.
13 + 1 = 14
The answer is [tex] \frac{14}{19} [/tex]
