Other planets have a lithosphere, but Earth's is unique because it has a special type of debris called "soil." Earth's lithosphere is composed of different layers which includes the rock and mixed with soil which forms part the crust. Followed by mantle that extends to about 100 km deep. The soil is where trees are capable of living because it has the capacity to seep down the water that is needed by the tree.
