NBT stands for National Benchmark Test.
NBT was commissioned by Universities South Africa for the purpose of assessing the readiness of incoming first year university students as they start their University life.
The tests is reliant on the stored knowledge of each student that is why results may vary.
These tests are divided into two sets. First set is the Academic Literacy and Quantitative Literacy (AQL). Second set is Mathematics (MAT). Each set must be answered within 3 hours.
