I'm not sure if this is the game you're talking about, but I played one myself. You chose a handful of creatures to represent a population, and each animal in this population has different traits. Your population caces carious obsticles, such as climate change and predetors. Your goal is to have enough members of your population still alive to survive and reproduce. Hopefully this is helpful.
