Alexander Hamilton organized America's finances, first by paying the revolutionary war debt. He further wanted to establish a National Bank like other European nations. He believed the National Bank would; Increase the flow of money throughout the country and help the national government in negotiating loans and collection of taxes. The bank would provide credit to investors, farmers, and businessmen, boosting economic circulation. And, in cases of emergencies, the banks would lend money back to the federal government at favorable interest.
