Mongol conquests ranged from East Asia to Eastern Europe during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. This relatively short period was crucial in establishing new international contacts. Which societies gained the most as a result of the Mongol period? Which societies gained the least? In your response, consider the following regions: West Africa, Western Europe, South Asia, West Asia, and East Asia.

Respuesta :

Negative effects of the Mongol Empire's expansion into Western europe, East Asia, include the wiping out of people that resisted given the violent nature of their invasions.

Positive effects include a century of peace those under under Mongol rule. This stability allowed for the reopening of the Silk Road trading routes between China and Europe, increasing cultural exchange and wealth all along the trade paths including Western Africa, East Asia and Europe.

Answer:

West Africa, West Asia. and Western Europe gained the least. In West Africa, the Mongols were not in their land very long. In West Asia, Islamic people lost control of Baghdad to the Mongols. In Western Europe, Mongols were only able to reach Hungary so there was not much contact with them.

East Asia, and South Asia gained the most. In East Asia (China), the Mongols established a dynasty that ruled for a long time. Also, merchants had a higher standing in society than they had in China before the Mongols. In South Asia, the Mongol contact resulted in many cultural advancements.
